Chemical Store Operative

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Stores Operative.

About the role

The successful candidate will be able to control, maintain and issue stock levels of dyes and chemicals, placing orders with suppliers as required to replenish stock and issue to the respective production cells. You will manage all aspects of the chemical store and deal with returns, quarantined and redundant dyes and chemicals; ensuring compliance with legislation, environmental and audit requirements at all times.

Skills, knowledge and experience we are looking for

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent organisation and planning skills
• Working in a manufacturing environment with previous stores-based experience
• Experience of Health & Safety processes, knowledge of chemicals including COSHH
• Good attention to detail
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office
• GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent
• Ability to solve problems effectively.
