We are looking for a Smashweaver to join our Woven Fabrics production unit, to play a key and active role in supporting our Weavers and Overlookers.

The Role

Key responsibilities for this role include responsibility in completing on-loom inspection sheets, patrolling looms, looking out for faults and restarting stopped looms, and contributing to any continuous improvement activities within the department as required, problem-solving training activities as required.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative
  • An understanding of health and safety issues relating to the production of fabric
  • Attention to detail
  • Previously trained as a weaver
  • Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures
  • Good dexterity and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Effective communication skills
