We have an opportunity within our Site Services department for a Security Officer.

 

About the department and the role

Our Security Officers are responsible for providing a site-wide security service, managing the control of pedestrians and vehicles entering and exiting the site and dealing with contractors in accordance with company policy. The successful candidate will ensure the site is kept secure at all times and patrols are conducted at regular intervals, especially during anti-social hours.

Our Security Officers are responsible for all out of hours incoming calls and contacting on-duty maintenance staff when required for breakdowns while also dealing with any emergency situations, ensuring the appropriate emergency services are contacted and coordinated. The successful candidate will be able to act quickly and responsibly in a range of circumstances.

Skills, knowledge and experience required

Essential

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Good attention to detail

Desirable

  • Previous experience of Security work is desirable but not essential
  • Forklift Truck Licence

 

 

    5 shift pattern

  £12.26 per hour, incl shift premium
