We have an opportunity within our Payroll Department for a Payroll Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave.


    Monday-Friday, 8.30-5.00pm

   Competitive Salary

About the role

Our Payroll Department is looking for an analytical and logical person to cover a period of maternity leave.

Our Payroll Assistants are responsible for maintaining the Time and Attendance system and working with managers to resolve any clocking queries.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for complying with company processes and procedures while ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.

The role involves processing all aspects of payroll, including processing starters and leavers, changes to pay and assisting with calculations of statutory payments.


Requirements of the role

  • GCSEs in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure


  • Experience working in a similar environment
  • Previous experience of T&A systems
  • Understanding of various shift patterns
