The Department and the Role

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team, providing mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance support to the production departments on both a reactive and planned maintenance basis. The ideal candidate should be capable of autonomously making mechanical and electrical engineering decisions, taking the most effective course of action to rectify faults within two hours. Additionally, they should be able to make informed engineering decisions based on experience and data when carrying out planned maintenance procedures. The candidate will also play a crucial role in contributing to continuous improvement initiatives around the site, aiming to enhance machine reliability and safety.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in electrical with supporting mechanical qualification or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical with supporting electrical qualification.
  • Knowledge of workshop equipment would be desired.
  • A good understanding of HS&E within a manufacturing environment
  • A desire for self-development and development of team members.
  • A good understanding of 5s lean manufacturing principles

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5.00 pm
