The Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will provide both mechanical and electrical maintenance support across our production departments, working on a mix of reactive and planned maintenance activities.

You will be trusted to make timely, autonomous engineering decisions to diagnose and resolve faults – typically within a two-hour window – helping to minimise downtime and keep production running efficiently. Alongside this, you will carry out planned maintenance using your experience and data-led insights to improve machine performance.

This is also an opportunity to play a key role in continuous improvement across the site – identifying ways to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responding to breakdowns and diagnosing faults across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities
  • Making effective, timely engineering decisions to minimise downtime
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Contributing to a safe, compliant, and well-organised working environment

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering with mechanical experience, or vice versa
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Good understanding of health, safety and environmental practices (HS&E)
  • Familiarity with workshop equipment and maintenance tools
  • Knowledge of 5S lean manufacturing principles
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Willingness to develop both yourself and others within the team

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Participation in a call-out rota
