We have an exciting opportunity for Warping Operatives to join our Knitting Warping department.


About the department and responsibilities

The role involves operating various machinery and equipment within the Knitting production department to supply finished warp beams to the Knitting department. Key responsibilities of the role include transporting raw materials and finished stock, loading and unloading creels, and operating various warping machines. Attention to detail and continuous observation are critical to ensuring that a high-quality standard is attained in the department.

You must have a responsible and proactive attitude, a logical approach and be able to become a competent operator within a given training period whilst working as part of a team. You will be required to demonstrate good hand/eye dexterity when working with yarn alongside good numeracy and literacy skills. A consistent eye for attention to detail is critical.

The role currently operates on a 2-shift basis, but will be subject to change, moving to our 3-shift pattern. For more information on our shift patterns, please contact human.resources@heathcoat.co.uk

  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and information
