We are looking for a Deputy Team Leader to join our Mill Warping department.

The Role

Our Mill Warping Department has an new exciting opportunity for a Deputy Team Leader to support the Team Leaders in the safe, efficient and effective operation of the Warping Department. The role is responsible for providing day-to-day operational leadership, ensuring production requirements are achieved and that company standards are maintained.

A Deputy Team Leader will deputise for the Team Leader during periods of absence or holiday. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in motivating and organising your team, problem solving, operating machinery and training Mill Warping Operatives as necessary.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Logical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Good level of dexterity and hand eye coordination
  • An understanding of HS&E and quality issues in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and other computer applications
  • Ability to demonstrate effective and collaborative communication
  • Familiar with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills are essential for calculations and maintaining records
  • An understanding of the 5S manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of the machinery operated in the department is desirable

Shift Pattern

3-shift system – 12-hour shifts, Monday to Saturday Morning.
