We are looking for a Process Operative (Dyehouse) to join our Central Finishing Colour Processing team on a 4-shift pattern.

 

The Department and the Role

This is a hands-on, quality-critical role where you’ll run and monitor textile processing equipment to ensure fabric is produced safely, efficiently, and to the required colour and finish standards. Working as part of a close-knit shift team, you’ll help deliver consistent quality by following production plans, recording key process data, and responding quickly to any process or equipment issues.

What You’ll Be Doing

Key responsibilities include operating textile processing machinery safely and competently, monitoring equipment performance and fabric quality, recording measurements and fault mapping when required, proactively troubleshoot and resolve process issues, escalating issues where required. You’ll also support quality control by ensuring accurate process records are maintained throughout production.

Essential Skills and Experience

We’re looking for someone who can bring a practical, quality-focused approach, with:

  • A logical and methodical mindset
  • The ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative
  • An understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience using electronic machinery or production equipment
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity
  • Clear communication skills
  • A positive, reliable team attitude

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Previous experience in a manual or production-based environment

Shift Pattern

  • 4-shift working pattern
  • 14 day/night shifts every 28 days
  • Day and night shifts are 11.25 hours
