Join our dedicated Effluent Treatment team as a Plant Attendant, offering regular weekday hours with flexible shift cover to support the 24/7 operation of this critical facility.

 

The Department and the Role

The Effluent Treatment Department is seeking an additional Plant Attendant to join our dedicated team.  This role offers core working hours of Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 but also provides a great opportunity for someone who values variety and can offer flexibility in their working pattern.

This flexibility helps support the continuous 24/7 operation of our Effluent Plant and offers the stability of regular daytime hours alongside variety and additional earning opportunities through planned shift cover. Candidates will be required to cover approximately 48 shifts per year, including some outside of standard working hours.

In this physically demanding, hands-on role, you will operate and monitor the effluent treatment plant and associated equipment to ensure environmental compliance and minimise the risk of ecological harm. You will also carry out routine inspections and testing of effluent samples to confirm adherence to regulatory standards outlined in our environmental permit.
