Join our dedicated Effluent Treatment team as a Plant Attendant, supporting the safe and compliant 24/7 operation of this critical facility.

 

The Department and the Role

The Effluent Treatment Department is seeking a Plant Attendant to support the continuous operation of the Effluent Plant, Filter House, and Boiler House.

In this physically demanding, hands-on role, you will operate and monitor the effluent treatment plant and associated equipment to ensure environmental compliance and minimise the risk of ecological harm. You will also carry out routine inspections and testing of effluent samples to confirm adherence to regulatory standards outlined in our environmental permit.

What we are looking for

  • Preparedness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • A basic understanding of environmental regulations relating to wastewater discharge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A driving licence is desirable

Shift pattern

  • 4-shift working pattern
  • 14 day/night shifts every 28 days
  • Day and night shifts are 11.25 hours

This popular shift pattern provides a predictable rota with extended rest periods, supporting a healthy work–life balance while maintaining continuous plant operations.
