Our Synchrotec Fabrics technical team have an exciting opportunity for a Development Engineer.

 

About the department and role

Development Engineers play a key and active role, from the development stage through to production and commercialisation.

We are looking for a Development Engineer to join our Technical team within the Synchrotec Business Unit. The role is to provide development and technical support and co-ordinate development activity to support sales and production staff in achieving agreed targets.

Key responsibilities for this role include contributing to design and development of Synchrotec fabrics, identifying improvement opportunities for fabric construction and cost reduction and to ensure our customers are provided with the appropriate level of technical support.

 

Essential skills and experience

  • Degree-level textile or scientific education or relevant experience in textile manufacturing & design
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • A logical approach with scientific methodology
  • Ability to work within a team and on own initiative
  • Able to travel outside the UK
