We are seeking new Process Operatives to join this key part of our woven fabric production. 

 

 4-shift rotating pattern – 14 shifts over 28 days

    • 12-hour shifts require working both days and nights
      06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00

About the department and the role

Our yarn texturising department ‘Xtex’ is the starting point in producing some of Heathcoat Fabrics’ highest-quality technical fabrics. Our Xtex Operatives play a key and active role in improving yarn performance and processibility.

Key responsibilities for this role include operating machinery to a production plan, ensuring the smooth running of the texturising, twisting, covering and winding machines, loading bulk packs of yarn, recording production weights and conducting yarn inspection for quality.

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • A logical approach
  • Ability to work well in a team and on your initiative
  • An understanding of health and safety issues in a production environment
  • Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures
  • Good dexterity and attention to detail
  • Experience in using electronic machinery
  • Effective communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
