We have an opportunity for a number of Operatives to join our expanding Weaving unit.
The purpose of this role is to operate and maintain textile manufacturing processes within a lean manufacturing environment, complying with relevant policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities for this role include operating machinery to a production plan to the required standard as set out in departmental documentation and procedures, to include:
- Technical information
- Training structure; and
- Standard Work.
Operators are expected to comply with all HS&E and quality requirements within the department.
In this role, the tasks are varied and include ensuring the smooth running of looms, inspecting fabric to identify and rectify faults, completing loom-inspection sheets and general housekeeping.
The successful applicant will have the ability to demonstrate initiative, to work as part of a team and be self-motivated. A methodical approach to work is required, along with the capability to follow instructions closely. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are also essential.
You will be expected to function and operate within a 5S manufacturing cell environment, with full participation and involvement in every aspect.
