We have an exciting opportunity within our Woven Fabrics department for a Weaving Production/Planning Graduate.

About the department and role

Our Woven Fabrics department is responsible for the manufacturing of technical textiles through a variety of processes such as Texturising, Warping, Drawing-in, Weaving and Inspection.

The Weaving Production/Planning Graduate reports directly to the Weaving Production Manager and is required to maintain the day to day schedule within computerised systems, ensuring planned pieces have the necessary tickets in place while maintaining the production plan as far ahead as sales demand and material supply allows. You will also need to prepare and communicate with other areas of production while reviewing system sales demand to prepare production rate forecasts.

The ideal candidate will grow and develop from their initial role and will be an ambitious graduate with a strong interest in weaving production and who has a good understanding of woven fabrics. The ideal candidate should have a strong drive to develop their career prospects within the Company and has the potential and motivation to progress into a future career within weaving production and planning management.

Skills, knowledge and experience required

  • A desire to learn and develop

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Able to work on own initiative

The following is desirable

  • Degree or equivalent level education, preferably in Textiles, although relevant experience in Materials or Engineering disciplines will be considered
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Knowledge of weaving
  • Able to prioritise in changing and pressurised situations
  • Good negotiating and influencing skills
