About the department and role

Our Woven Fabrics department is responsible for the manufacturing of technical textiles through a variety of processes such as Texturising, Warping, Drawing-in, Weaving and Inspection.

Our Weaving Training Officers are responsible for co-ordinating and delivering training for all operational roles within the Weaving department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing new employee performance during the training period while monitoring and reporting on progress until training has been completed.

The successful candidate will set the standard of knowledge required for every role and assess current and new employees, providing feedback and target times to help employees improve. Additionally, the Weaving Training Officer is responsible for all facilities and equipment in the training room.

Skills, knowledge and experience required

  • Experience in textile manufacturing
  • Experience in all roles in Weaving
  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
  • Train the Trainer qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent attention to details with a proactive and enthusiastic outlook
  • Good ability with Microsoft Office programmes
  • Experience in Health and Safety requirements
  • Able to multi-train different roles
  • Strong organisational skills

Desirable

  • Ability to problem solve
  • Experience managing improvement projects
  • Experience using ERP systems
