Our Quality department is currently looking for candidates to fill the position of Quality Engineer.

 

  Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.00pm
£30-£35k
Training, development and progression available

 

About the department and role

Our Quality Engineers provide detailed data analysis, system guidance and support to our production areas on all aspects of quality activities during the production lifecycle to ensure we are able to meet our customer demands, as well as the requirements of ISO9001 and IATF16949.

This is a great opportunity to support our innovative manufacturing processes by delivering a continual improvement of efficiencies, reliability, and performance.  You will be responsible for taking the appropriate actions to address quality issues by supporting investigations into internal deviations and improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, have a genuine desire to make improvements to our business processes and efficiencies and will have the opportunity to take the lead on a number of improvement projects.

 

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Relevant qualification or experience in a similar field and/or role
  • Experience or qualifications in Lean and Quality tools, such as Six Sigma principles, 5S, Value Stream Mapping and standard work etc
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to problem-solve and utilise core quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC
  • Ability to statistically analyse data for trends and patterns

Desirable

  • Experience or qualification in internal auditing
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use statistical software, such as SPC XL / Minitab
