About the role
Our Purchasing Assistants are responsible for maintaining supply of all purchased materials to support the manufacturing and sales divisions. They process Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders so they are ready for approval and can be issued to the supplier.
In this role, you would adhere to purchasing strategies including gaining the best price, enquiring about price breaks, promoting the Company’s Terms of Purchasing, asking about early payment discounts and volume rebates, as well as supporting purchasing metrics. Our Purchasing Assistants are also responsible for liaising with suppliers regarding order status, availability of goods and other general correspondence while also arranging the return of goods for either replacement or credit.
