We have a sought after opportunity within our production administration for a Production Planning Graduate.

About the department and role

The Production Planning Graduate reports directly to the Production Manager and is required to maintain the day-to-day schedule within computerised systems, ensuring planned pieces have the necessary tickets in place while maintaining the production plan as far ahead as sales demand and material supply allows. You will also need to prepare and communicate with other areas of production while reviewing system sales demand to prepare production rate forecasts.

The role will focus within our Woven Fabrics department, responsible for the manufacturing of woven technical textiles through a variety of processes such as Texturising, Warping, Drawing-in, Weaving and Inspection.

The ideal candidate will grow and develop from their initial role and will be an ambitious graduate with a strong drive to develop their career prospects within the Company and who has the potential and motivation to progress into a future career within production and planning management..

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Good attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
• Able to work on own initiative

• Experience with an ERP system
• Knowledge of weaving
• Able to prioritise in changing and pressurised situations
• Good negotiating and influencing skills
• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area
