We have an exciting opportunity within our Woven Fabrics department for a Production Planner Graduate.

About the department and role

Our Woven Fabrics department is responsible for the manufacturing of technical textiles through a variety of processes such as Texturising, Warping, Drawing-in, Weaving and Inspection.

The Production Planner assists the Weaving Planning Manager with all aspects of planning and material control within the Woven Fabrics Division. You will be required to maintain the day-to-day schedule and assist with maintaining the longer-term production plan. You will assist with keeping an up-to-date stock inventory by completing prompt transactions within the ERP system. There will be some data gathering, reviewing, and preparing from both production machines and computer system for use both within Planning and other areas.

The ideal candidate will grow and develop from their initial role and will be an ambitious individual with a strong drive to develop their career prospects within the Company and who has the potential and motivation to progress into a future career within production and planning management.

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • Good attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Able to prioritise in changing and pressurised situations
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area

The following are desirable

  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Previous planning experience
