About the department and role

Our Knitted Fabrics department is responsible for the manufacture of a wide variety of technical textiles. We have a vertically integrated production department producing fabrics with end uses ranging from bridal net and nursery fabrics to geotextiles and turbocharger hoses for our global customer base.

Our Production Controller is solution-focused and utilises both MRP tools and statistical analysis to overcome obstacles in relation to on-time customer delivery. Troubleshooting will be a key element of the role, and the chosen candidate will work alongside the production and sales teams to ensure customer deliveries are achieved in full and on time.

Our Production Controller’s daily tasks include providing lead times for new orders, creating daily production plans, attendance at daily SQDC meetings, as well forecasting department requirements.

 

Skills, knowledge and experience required

  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Experience with ERP systems
