We have an opportunity within our Inspection Department for a Support Process Operative.

 

  2 Shift
Morning 6 am to 2 pm
Evening 2 pm to 10 pm

About the department and the role

Our Final Inspection department is where we inspect and grade all processed fabric received from our Central Finishing department, ensuring the fabric fully meets our customer’s specifications and requirements.

Our Support Process Operatives are responsible for servicing and loading all the inspection frames, ticketing and wrapping rolls, and any other requirement for the smooth running of the department. There are some manual handling requirements, although a power-assisted truck will be available.

 

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

Essential

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Good colour vision
  • Good concentration
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on your own
  • Good attention to detail

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential
  • An understanding of HS&E and quality issues in a manufacturing environment
  • An understanding of the 5S manufacturing principles
