What will you be doing as a Laboratory Technician at Heathcoat Fabrics?

Our Textile Lab prepares and tests to specifications for product release and provides accurate and reliable data for product development and continuous improvement across the business. The role’s responsibilities include preparing and testing our fabric and yarns and recording test data accurately and on time.

This position is an ideal step into laboratory work and the Textile Industry; no previous experience is necessary and full training will be provided.

To apply, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • excellent attention to detail
  • good communication, both written and verbal
  • high level of hand dexterity
  • good basic numeracy skills

Please let us know if you also have the following desirable experience and knowledge:

  • experience in using Microsoft Office applications
  • experience of working in a similar environment
  • knowledge of manufacturing laboratory good practice
  • an understanding of quality processes

    Rotating shift pattern

7 shifts every 14 days
Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun
Week 2: Wed, Thurs
6.00am to 6.00pm (with a 45-minute unpaid break)
