About the department and role

Our Textile Lab prepares and tests to exacting specifications and provides a reliable service to enable constant quality improvements to processes across our business. The responsibilities of the role include preparing and testing our fabric and yarns (both physical and chemical), record test data accurately and promptly, ensure equipment is working safely and calibrated correctly and report and work to find solutions to any issues that arise.

Skills, knowledge and experience required

  • Minimum GCSE or equivalent in science and maths
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication, both written and verbal
  • Good hand dexterity
  • Good arithmetic skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and on your own
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

The following is desirable

  • Knowledge of manufacturing Laboratory good practice
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of working in a similar environment
