    Rotating shift pattern

7 shifts every 14 days
Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun
Week 2: Wed, Thurs
6.00am to 6.00pm (with a 45-minute unpaid break)

 

What will you be doing as a Laboratory Technician at Heathcoat Fabrics?

Our Textile Lab prepares and tests raw materials and finished fabric to exacting specifications for product release. It provides accurate and reliable data for product development and continuous improvement across the business. The responsibilities of the role include preparing samples and carrying out physical and chemical testing, recording test data accurately and ensuring equipment is working safely and calibrated correctly.

This position is an ideal step into laboratory work and the Textile Industry; no previous experience is necessary.

 

To apply, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • a minimum GCSE or equivalent in science and maths
  • good attention to detail
  • good communication, both written and verbal
  • excellent hand dexterity
  • good arithmetic skills

Please let us know if you also have the following desirable experience and knowledge:

  • experience in using Microsoft Office applications
  • experience of working in a similar environment
  • knowledge of manufacturing laboratory good practice
  • an understanding of quality processes
