We have a new opportunity within our Finishing Department for an Inspection Operator.

The department and the role

Our Final Inspection department is where we inspect and grade all finished fabrics before packing for shipment. You will ensure that our fabric meets our customer’s specifications and requirements.

Our Inspection Operatives are responsible for servicing and loading all the inspection frames, ticketing and wrapping rolls and any other requirements for the smooth running of the department. There are some manual handling requirements, although a power-assisted truck will be available.

Full training is provided for our Operative roles to help you grow and develop your expertise.

 

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on your own initiative
  • An understanding of HS&E and quality issues in a manufacturing environment
  • An understanding of 5S manufacturing principles
