About the department and role

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Graduate to join our experienced and progressive HR team. In this varied and exciting role, the HR Graduate will work closely with the HR team to deliver a professional, timely service to all employees, managers, and external bodies.

The HR Graduate will initially be responsible for recruitment, onboarding and welcoming our new starters, processing leavers and actioning contractual changes, as well as providing administrative support in accordance with HR practice, policy and procedure while maintaining accurate HR records. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at all levels of the business and with key stakeholders to deliver business improvements and drive change in line with the People Vision.

The ideal candidate will grow and develop in their role and will be an ambitious graduate with a strong drive to develop their career prospects within the Company. They will have the potential and motivation to progress into a future career within HR and to take on projects which impact the business.

Skills, knowledge and experience required

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent qualifications in HR, Business Management or a relevant subject
  • A keen interest in developing a career within HR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Able to prioritise in changing and pressurised situations

The following are desirable

  • Experience in a Human Resources department
  • Good negotiating and influencing skills
