We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Catering Manager.

About the department and the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated catering manager to join our team. As a catering manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our company canteen, including menu planning, cooking of hot lunches and breakfasts, preparation of buffets and vending consumables. You will also be responsible for stock purchase and control, handling cash, general administration and managing a small catering team.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and motivational skills, the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff, be resilient with a calm approach to deal with day-to-day challenges and able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Essential skills and experience

  • Previous experience managing a canteen or food service
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Level 3 award in supervising food safety and hygiene
  • Understanding of the fundamental health and safety requirements
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management
