Do you have a keen interest in food and catering? We have a great opportunity for a Catering Assistant/Cook to join our in-house catering team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated in-house catering team. You will be required to provide catering support in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages plus related catering duties.  We are looking for someone who will have the capability to step up and cover for the Catering Manager when required.

Key duties to include:

Assist with preparation of food in line with HACCP; serve customers, operating the till and handling cash; plating up food, ensuring correct portion control; wash up; ensure high levels of kitchen and personal hygiene standards are maintained at all times and in line with food and hygiene standards; assist with deliveries and storage of stock, stock control and stock taking.

You will provide a warm, friendly and helpful attitude to customers. Assist with in-house catering functions.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in food and catering, be organised and methodical and have excellent customer service skills.

Skills, knowledge and experience required

  • Previous experience working in catering and cooking
  • Level 2 award in food safety
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role would be an advantage.
