About the department and role

Our Business Systems Specialist is responsible for identifying, managing, and bringing projects to life across the Company that enhance our use of the ‘Epicor’ ERP Software System. This system manages all aspects of our business operations, from generating purchase orders to managing inventory, coordinating production plans, monitoring manufacturing progress and then handling the shipment and invoicing of our fabrics to customers worldwide.

You will begin by learning the key features of our systems whilst familiarising yourself with the Company’s operations. Key responsibilities for the role are to test out new functionality and features of the system before managing their implementation within the business. You will need to collaborate with Users and the IT department to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring solutions are functional and consistent.

You will also be a friendly face providing User training when needed and overseeing the testing and management of any system upgrades.

If you thrive on problem-solving, enjoy effective communication, and are passionate about driving projects to successful conclusions, this role is ideal for you.

No need to worry if you’re not an expert yet – we will customise the training to match your existing expertise.

Please demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience in your application:

  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Proven ability for effective and logical problem-solving.
  • A self-motivated individual with the capacity to take initiative and lead.
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver engaging and impactful training sessions.
  • A degree or demonstrable experience using ERP systems. Experience of using Epicor is an advantage but full training will be given.
