About the department and role

The Business Systems Graduate role reports directly to the Business Project Manager and is responsible for assessing and planning projects that drive improvement and effective use of our ERP system ‘Epicore’. Within this role, you will be managing and delivering solutions, undertaking to test and implement changes, and providing training to ensure benefits are realised. You would need to be able to proactively engage with the business and stakeholders to analyse existing procedures and identify opportunities for improvements.

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous project management experience or understanding from a relevant degree or equivalent education.  They should be comfortable working within a busy environment with multiple projects running at any one time. This role will require excellent stakeholder management skills and someone who is a real team player.

As experience in our business and systems grows, you will investigate and resolve day to day issues with our users. Later you would take responsibility for coordinating and testing the next major system upgrade, which is expected Easter 2023.

Whilst not part of the IT department, you will work closely with their team who will be responsible for making any required system modifications.

Training will be provided based on the candidate’s previous experience and knowledge of ERP and business systems.

Skills, knowledge and experience required

Essential

• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes
• Ability to problem solve
• Able to work on own initiative

The following are desirable

• Degree or equivalent level of education, preferably in Business Systems, Business Management, Maths or Science
• Understanding of Epicor or other ERP systems
• Experience in providing effective training
