Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a 4-year Apprenticeship at Heathcoat Fabrics Limited, where you will be working towards a Level 3 Maintenance Engineer qualification. You will attend ongoing training courses, whilst tackling real-life challenges and working towards taking on real responsibility. You should be a great team player and communicator and be motivated to get results. With a positive mindset, you will gain a professional qualification and excellent on-the-job experience.

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of GCSEs Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in English, plus either Maths or Science
  • A demonstrable interest in engineering
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • The ongoing desire to learn
  • Willing and able to travel to your chosen college when required for day release

What will be the successful candidates’ key responsibilities?

From your first day at Heathcoat Fabrics Limited, they will get quality mentoring and coaching from our experienced team, as well as:

  • Learning how to maintain our plant
  • Learning how to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults
  • Learning how to repair our equipment
  • Applying all relevant Heathcoat quality and safety systems to ensure the safety of people and products is maintained
  • Working across various areas in our factory including Mechanical, Electrical and Utilities

On successful completion of the Engineering Apprenticeship, you will have demonstrated the ability to take ownership and accountability for equipment, conduct complex fault diagnosis and repairs and develop soft skills that allow you to provide basic technical coaching to others.
