We have an exciting opportunity for a Warping Operative to join our Warp Knitting production department.

Introducing the department

Our Warping Operatives are key, the important starting point in the production of Heathcoat Fabrics innovative technical textiles. Our Mill Warping Operatives help to supply our Warp Knitting production department so they can produce fabrics with end uses ranging from Oekotex Class 1 nursery goods to body armour ppe, healthcare products and turbo hoses.

Role and responsibilities

The role involves the operation of various machinery and equipment. Key responsibilities of the role include loading and unloading yarn packages onto the creels for Warping; producing bobbins; operating a range of Warping machines; continuous observation to ensure the highest quality standard is met, and maintaining good housekeeping within the department.

You must have a responsible attitude and logical approach, be able to achieve the grade standard within a given training period and work as part of a team. Following health & safety regulations carefully and paying attention to detail are essential. You will be required to demonstrate good hand/eye dexterity, numeracy and literacy skills. A consistent eye for attention to detail is critical.

  2-shift working pattern

6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
