We are looking for operatives to work in our flagship Synchrotec department.

About the department and the role

This is where we process fabrics mainly for the automotive industry. Processing involves washing and drying of fabric followed by applying treatments onto the fabric using our specialist production machinery. The final product which our customers receive allows them to bond rubber to the fabric which is primarily turned into timing belts.

Our Process Operatives play a pivotal role in every one of our fabric treatment processes, operating a variety of machines by Brugman, Bruckner, and Napier; also carrying out basic maintenance tasks, basic PC based activities and the use of mechanised hoists and lifting equipment.

You will have:

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Experience in using a PC for basic tasks
  • An understanding of HS&E and quality issues in a manufacturing environment
  • A desire to learn and develop
  • An understanding of the 5S manufacturing principles
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative at times
  • Good attention to detail
