We have an opportunity within our Synchrotec production unit for a Process Support Operative.

 

  4 Shift
14 shifts over 28 days (day and night shifts)

Up to £27,000/year

About the role

Our Synchrotec department process fabrics mainly for the automotive industry. Our processes involve washing and drying fabric followed by chemical treatment applications using our impressive production facilities. The final product received by our customers allows them to bond rubber to the fabric which is primarily turned into synchronous belts for vehicles.

Our Process Support Operatives within the Synchrotec production cell, support machine operators with all tasks that currently dilute the primary machine operation function efficiency. This position helps ensure all process materials and jobs are being best positioned at all times in order to optimise ‘Lean Flow’.

This job role currently consists of a 4 Shift work pattern which includes the following:

14 shifts over 28 days (days and night shifts).

 

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

Essential

  • Be able to understand and comply with all risk assessments within the department
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing principles to ensure the smooth flow of production (reducing none-value adding tasks for machine operators)
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary legislation and audit requirements at all times.
