An exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager / Sales Manager to join our global market-leading Synchrotec business unit.


Introducing the role

Within this role, you will work as part of the Sales Team within our Synchrotec Business Unit, which leads the way in an exciting evolution of engineered technical textiles. From fabrics used within the internal combustion engine to new global markets for electric and micro-mobility belts, we play a key part in the global drive for more sustainable transportation.

Targeting sustainable growth by maximising profitable sales, you will focus on gaining new and growing existing business.

Examples of our expectations within this role

  • To effectively manage existing accounts, successfully increasing profit margins and growing business opportunities
  • Accountable for actively seeking new accounts and business opportunities
  • Maintain frequent contact with customers and visit customer premises globally
  • Hosting customer visits and Microsoft Teams meetings
  • Attend targeted exhibitions and conferences to consider relevant opportunities to develop new sales in existing and new markets in line with business strategies.
  • Work with customers for potential future developments.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a sales role/business development role
  • Experience in textiles and or material sciences preferred
  • Proven ability to liaise across business, from suppliers, manufacturing and customer
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure our customer’s expectations are met
  • A flexible and logical approach
  • Accurate numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • A desire for self-development and taking a pivotal role in the business.
