* We can be flexible on when the hours are to be worked, between 12.00pm-9.00pm, to total 37.5 hours per week

About the department and role

Our Textile Laboratory prepares and tests to exacting specifications and provides a reliable service to enable constant quality improvements to processes across our business. The responsibilities of the role include preparing and testing our fabric and yarns (both physical and chemical), record test data accurately and in a timely manner, ensure equipment is working safely and calibrated correctly and report and work to find solutions to any issues that arise.

Requirements of the role

  • Minimum GCSE or equivalent in science and maths
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of British Standards, in particular, ISO 9001:2000, ASTM, DIN and COSHH
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office Applications
  • An understanding of quality processes
  • Experience of working in a similar environment
