About the role

The Finance Assistant manages the operation of the accounts payable ledger and processes authorised payments in accordance with company policy. Some of the responsibilities in this role include processing invoices and credit notes, managing supplier queries and payments, liaising with managers across the business, reconciling supplier statements to ledger balance, managing aged payables ledger, processing banking transactions and other general finance admin duties.

Requirements of the role

  • Experience of working in a similar finance environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of VAT
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes; in particular, Excel
  • Able to work on own initiative
