Heathcoat Fabrics pitch their support for Tiverton Rugby Club<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Recognising the importance of the local community and the people who serve in it, is one of the reasons why Heathcoat Fabrics has gifted a cheque for \u00a35000 to Tiverton Rugby Club and become an official sponsor of the club.<\/p>\n

Heathcoat Fabrics Managing Director, Cameron Harvie, was delighted to hand over the cheque to the Club’s Chair, Charles Burt (pictured), at Coronation Field and said:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to sponsor and support something that is part of Tiverton\u2019s community. It\u2019s an important part of the town and people like Charles put their time and effort into making our town what it is; it\u2019s special. They do a great job and it\u2019s fantastic for us as a Tiverton-based business to support that. Their work inspiring and training the area’s youth is outstanding, with more than 200 juniors training here on a Wednesday night.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Charles, along with Treasurer, Derek Fargher and Life Member, Steve White accepted the cheque on behalf of the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is so good of Heathcoat Fabrics to do this for us,\u2019 said Charles. \u201cThere are so many people over the years who have worked for the company and played rugby for the club. When they stopped playing, many of the players came back and did voluntary work. We rely on our volunteers who are the backbone of the club.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Charles has volunteered at the club ever since his two sons started playing rugby and came home saying there was no one to run their team. Now he is Chair, and his grandson is playing for the club.<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cThis money will be ploughed back into the club, and it\u2019s already helped us to purchase a big noticeboard for the juniors which is going to be put outside the site where we can showcase all the junior photographs and coaches. We also have plans to upgrade the changing rooms so this money can be used towards that too. This generous donation is a big help to us, without a shadow of a doubt.\u201d<\/p>\n
