We have a further opportunity to join our expanding Woven Fabrics production team as a Weaving Operative.

 

  4-shift working pattern
14 day/night shifts every 28 days. Day and night shifts are 11.25 hours

About the department and role

Our Weaving facility is equipped with the latest generation section warping and threading capability and industry-leading looms. As a Weaving Operative, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, operating and maintaining an impressive range of high-technology weaving machinery to produce high-quality technical woven fabrics, ensuring optimum quality is achieved and maintained.

The role would suit an enthusiastic and practical operative with a desire to develop themselves further within the department. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated individuals who value the satisfaction of producing high-quality textile products.

Responsibilities include operating and monitoring weaving machinery and powered manual handling equipment, to ensure efficient and accurate fabric production. You will be expected to adhere to production schedules and meet Health, Safety and quality standards to the highest level. You will need to be able to collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to meet deadlines and customer requirements.

Skills, knowledge and experience required

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Experience working with machinery or in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
