About the department and the role

Our Finishing unit is where we process our fabrics using special treatments and dyes.  From dress nets and parachute fabrics to timing belts for the automotive industry, we have machines that can treat our fabrics to customers exact requirements, before being shipped off around the globe.

We have a number of vacancies in this department for Process Operatives who can play a pivotal role in every one of our fabric treatment processes, from operating our huge stenters, carrying out basic maintenance tasks, basic PC based activities and the use of our hoists and lifting equipment.

 

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Experience in using a PC for basic tasks
  • An understanding of HS&E and quality issues in a manufacturing environment
  • An understanding of 5S manufacturing principles
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative at times
  • Good attention to detail

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative
  • A desire to learn and develop
